We read the book From Caterpillar to Butterfly. Then we took a trip to The Butterfly Place. We also read the book again when we got home and reviewed what we saw while we were visiting.

What you need: papers with a butterfly pattern on them folded in half, paints, water bowl, paint tray, paint brush.

The girls painted one side of the butterfly.

Then they closed the butterfly to apply the paint to the other side.

We opened up the butterflies to see what we created.

  2. We’ve got our very own caterpillars who have just gone into cocoons so we have been doing a lot of butterfly painting/pictures waiting for them to emerge. These are lovely. Thanks for sharing x
