These books are a collection of stuff that we bought and books we got at the library. We love looking for new book. There are always fun books to read. This months we had some favorite authors with new books for us to read and some new authors for us as well.
Pete the Cat: Cavecat Pete
is another great addition of the Pete the Cat Books! They are a favorite at our house. Can Pete help his friends get along?
Dear Mr. Washington
is fun book to learn about George Washington. It is well done and my girls really loved it. It is great for Presidents day or just learning about presidents.
The First Dog
is another great book by Jan Brett! It is now available again for purchase. This is a great story about the first dog and how it came about. This is a great read and stunning art work that we are using to seeing from Jan Brett. We have enjoyed reading this book.
Flora and the Penguin
is a great wordless book with lift the flaps! Watch as the two interact in these wordless pages. This is a fun book to flip through and then move the flaps.
As An Oak Tree Grows
is a book that shows the life cycle of an oak tree. From the planting of the acorn to the death of the tree. This is a good way to learn about an oak tree. Plus there is facts at the back of the book for additional learning.
Blue on Blue
is a great book about a rain storm. I love the combination of the words and pictures. The words are simple and describe the pictures wonderfully. These books leave you lots to talk about. The repetitive words help with kids learning words.
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Frog!
was a fun find for us. I was not aware until the other day that there was a new book out! I’ll be sure making a pack to go with it. I love the There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed… They are fun and creative. This one has a spring theme.
