Spring Blossom Tree Painting
The blossoms on the trees is one of my favorite parts of spring. The girls and I made some fun Spring Blossoms to hang in our windows at home.
Before we started this activity we read a few books one of which was Seasons by Anne Crausaz. I just love to read that book. I love the change in seasons. For this craft we did a mom and me craft. The girls love these, I show them on it how to do it and then try their best to make their own. It is a lot of fun, just less pictures taken. Spending time with our kids is important. I always like to ask, would I have fun doing this?
What you need: paper, baby oil, black & pink paint, and foam brushes.
You cover the paper with baby oil. It will need to soak in and then dry. You can prepare this ahead of time. You can see a better example of how we did this in the Shadow Painting
Using the foam brush we made a tree and limbs on our paper. After we do this you left the paint dry for a little bit.
You use the foam stamper to stamp blossoms on our tree limbs.
We let painting dry and hung them up in our window. The baby oil on the paper lets some of the light come through the painting.
Here is a look at each of the paintings:
