My girls love playing hands-on games that they can do together. We are always working on ways to make math fun. The rolling and creating math games give them a fun way to work on math facts that are fun.

The Roll a Fairy Tale Castle is an excellent way to review math and have a good time with a great medieval theme. What kid does not love knights, princesses, and dragons!

You get counting, addition or multiplication options. It is a game that can grow with your kids for a long time. We have been using these for preschool through 5th grade now. I love how flexible this game can be.

The counting and addition are really easy to use. You need a one or two 6-side dice. You can also use a dice in a dice. We love using the dice in a dice for math activities. If you don’t have any of those options you can use the Number Writing Dice.

The multiplication set has two options a 6-side dice or a 12-sided dice. We use the 12-sided dice in a dice a lot. Plus it only means one roll for each try. It makes it easier to remember what the two numbers are.

The numbers go from 1 to 36 for the 6-sided dice and from 1 to 144 for the 12 sided dice. It allows for just started multiplication and those that need to review all their numbers. Plus there is a sheet to keep track of all your rolls. It gives you something to look at at the end. These are loads of fun to do!

  1. The graphics are cute and I love that it’s free, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what the object of the game is? Is there supposed to be a winner? I’m sorry, I’m sure I could think of something if I had more imagination!

    1. There is no winner. It is just to have a fun way to work on math facts. If you look at the game pages you will see how to build stuff and where it goes. It is about giving kids a different choice than flashcards.

  2. I can download a bunch of things on your website but the download link on this one page is doing nothing for me. Any suggestions?

  3. Thank you. I do a theme every summer for my grandchildren. This years theme is castles and fairytales. Most of my grands are too young for math. However, reading the numbers on the dice is the first step. They will also learn to take turns and follow directions. Your printouts are perfect. Thank you for making them free.
