You can always do something with them. So many activities are fun and easy to do. This apple tree is super easy to make and loads of fun!

We read the book The Apple Pie Tree. We talked about apples in the tree and how they become pies. We made these yarn apple trees after reading the book.

What you need for this activity:

  • construction paper (green, blue & brown)

How we made out Apple Trees

The first step is to glue on the grass. For a younger child, you might want to ask them where they think the grass should go. We always talk about the top and bottom of the paper.

She glued the yarn to the tree. We talked about how big would the apple tree should be. Is it small or big? Is it wide or tall?

Then we glued on the apples. We talked about how many apples we wanted and that she did not have to use all the pom poms. She counted the pom-poms and then glued them all on the tree.
