How we made the Winter Evergreen Wreath Craft
You can see the steps below that we used to make the winter evergreen wreath craft.
Paint Blue on the Paper Plate
You start by using watercolors to paint the paper plater. We use watercolors because they dry fast. We used the darker blue but you could use the blue color you want.
You could also use a blue dot marker to paint the paper plate.
Paint Branches on the Wreath
Next you want to paint the branches of the tree. You can see we used a large brush to make our branches.
You can use a smaller brush but you might need to paint the branches several times to make them bigger.
Paint Limbs on the Branches on the Wreath
Next you want to paint smaller branches on the limbs. You can decide how many is good enough and what they look like.
You can use a smaller paint brush for the limbs on the tree.
Paint Pine Needs on the Wreath
You use a fork to paint the pine needles on the branches and limbs of the tree you just painting.
The painting of the pine needles works best with a fork that has small tines. But really any fork could work.
Paint Berries on the Wreath
You use a cotton swab to paint berries on the branches. You dip the cotton swab in red paint and make small dots of red around the wreath with the pine needles.
Kids can paint as many or as few as they want.
Paint Snow on the Branches
Next you decide which is up on the wreath. Then you paint snow along some of the branches of the tree.
You use a q-tip dipped in white paint for the painting.
This is fun because everyone will paint the snow differently and make the wreath their art work.
Remember as you are making this winter wreath that now two wreaths will look the same that is a just the way it should be!
