Winter has so many fun activities, clothes, and themes that are fun. And during the winter you can learn a lot of new words. I loved that you can at times take those words and work on what type of words they are.
And winter has loads of words that have beginning blends. So I thought it would be fun to have a small easy reader book with a few of those words.

These are a fun addition to the winter printables and blends printables on the site.
I did not use all the winter words with blends but a few fun ones. It has the following blends: sk, sn, sl, sn, tr, sc, sl, sw, and gl.
The books are very simple and have the blend you are working on, a matching picture, and a simple sentence to read with the blend. It has some simple sight words: is, for.

Ways to use the Winter Blends Easy Reader Book Printable
These easy reader books are meant to be something fun to have. They are a great way to change up how you are learning each season.
On each of the pages, you can color the blends on the left side and the matching picture. It gives you a visual of the blend you are working on.
They can also underline the blends in the sentence. This gives them another way to recognize the blend. Plus it also works great for scanning the words in the sentence.
You can also have them pull out the blends ladders and have them build the blend word on the ladder. This will work on spelling as well as making a hands-on activity. You can use the lacing letters
