How we made the Watercolor Pencil Fireworks Painting
You can see the simple steps below that we used to make the watercolor firework painting!
Draw the Fireworks with the Watercolor Pencils
You can let kids be creative in drawing their fireworks. They can draw one two three or more, Let them decide what fireworks they are going to make.
You want to make sure you draw nice dark lines on the watercolor paper.
You can mix the watercolor pencils on the firework drawing or just a simple one color firework.
For younger kids you can use a pencil and draw a firework on the page they can trace with the watercolor pencil, but let them be creative with this.
Fill the Watercolor Paper the Fireworks
You want to fill the paper up with as many fireworks as you want. This can be a few or many. You can see we did a mix of fireworks on our pages.
Use Water to Paint the Fireworks
You can use a small brush or a bigger brush with the water. We used smaller brushes with our fireworks. You can see how the color spreads as you add the water.
Be sure to paint the whole thing. You can always go back and repaint with more water as well.
It is fun to see the color spread and still have a nice solid line.
