A simple torn paper rainbow is loads of fun but add glitter paper can you have a really fun rainbow craft that kids can make.
The torn paper rainbow is a great fine motor craft for kids in preschool, PreK, and kindergarten. The craft is fun, and working on fine motor skills while tearing paper.

A torn paper craft is a craft where kids tear off pieces of paper to make the craft.

How we made the Torn Paper Glitter Rainbow Craft
Here are all the steps we used to make the torn paper glitter rainbow.
Tear up the Glitter paper
You want to take the glitter paper and tear it up into small pieces. Kids can do big pieces. They can decide what is small enough for the pieces.
I always keep the glitter paper from other crafts like punch crafts to use for torn paper crafts.
You can see all six colors of the glitter paper torn up for kids to use.
Put Glue on the Blue Paper
You start at the top or near the top to put the glue. If you have little kids you can draw a line for where they start.
But remember this is their rainbow let them decide what shape it will be.
Place the Torn Paper on the Rainbow
You now place glitter paper at the top. We started with red at the top. You want to make sure you cover all the glue on the paper.
Start the Next Color
You start again with putting the glue on the paper just below the red color row that you just did.
Then you start putting the next color of the rainbow. It is fun to see the rainbow start to come together.
Keep Adding Colors to the Rainbow
You just want to keep adding rows of colors for the rainbow on from yellow, green, blue and purple.
And remember to talk about colors while you make it.
