How we made the Torn Paper Fall Mountains Craft
You can see the steps below for how we made the mountains.
Pick the Colors of Your Mountains
You use a solid blue color for the background. Then you pick pages that have the colors yellow, orange, red, green, and brown.
Put the Paper in Order layers
Then you put the colors of paper that you picked in order that you want the mountains or hills to appear to look.
Tear The Paper to Make Mountains
You want to work on the mountains that are farther away first. You start by tearing just the little off the top of the paper.
You might find it easier to tear that paper towards you rather than in front of you.
Glue on the Paper on The Blue Paper
You want to put glue on the back of the paper. You then line the straight edge of the paper with the blue paper. You can see how they line up at the bottom.
Repeat with the Next Layers
You start the next color lay the same as the first. But you will want to start to tear the paper below where the last layer was.
Look at the Layers
You can see how the layers start to look like mountains as you add each new layer.
Paint the Clouds
Finally, after you have all your layers you paint the clouds. You can skip this step if you don’t want to do any painting. You can see that we used cotton balls with a clothespin and white paint for the clouds.
It is a super fun painting technique to do with kids.
