I love having a mix of activities to work on sight words! And that is what the Romping & Roaring Preprimer Sight Word Packs are all about. It is a fun collection of worksheets for all 40 of the preprimer sight words.

There are a lot of different printables for each sight word to give kids an option to helps them learn sight words.

Each sight word pack in the set is made to have activities that work on the sight words for many different levels. With sight word playdough mats, sight word coloring, sight word finding, sight word writing, and more!

I have used and bought several different sight word learning sets. The one thing that always bothered me was that you always learn sets of words together. Each of those activities were based around three of four sight words.

They do work well if you are just learning your sight words and not following learning to read system. With my girls, we were supplementing what was learned at school.

I had the idea of creating little packs for each word. So that you could use this set with any learning system and have loads of options for each work to introduce the words and let kids grow as they learn their sight words.

Preprimer Sight Word Playdough Mats

Each playdough is clean and clear and easy for kids to use. These could also be used as a decoration mat or color the letters. I love using small parts to like the inside of the letters.

Preprimer Sight Word Dot Marker Words

I love the dot marker words. You can use clear counters on the circles. Then use the dot marker. These work great as a hands-on center and a no-prep with the dot markers.

Preprimer Sight Word Trace – Color – Write

You can reinforce learning sight words with different types of skills. You have tracing the word, coloring the word, and writing the word. There is also a spinner and dice in the set to help with knowing if you are going to color, trace, or write the sight word.

Preprimer Sight Word Color by Letter

You have the sight word in the middle and a color by letter code below. You color each of the letters using the code. Another fun sight word literacy center for kids to do.

Preprimer Find Sight Word in the Sentences

You have four simple sentences to read and find the word in each of the sentences.

Preprimer Trace the Sight Word in the Sentences

You have four sentences to read and then trace the sight word in the sentence. It is a great way to recognize the word while reading.

Preprimer Sight Word Word Search

This has to be my FAVORITE printable for these packs! It has six of each of the words to find. BUT all the other space around the words you find are words from the pre primer list! Yup, that is right you can use the list to find other words when you are done!

Preprimer Sight Word Review

You can use this page at any time but it makes a great review page. It has read, coloring, tracing and finding the correct spelling of the sight word.

Preprimer Sight Word Read – Trace – Write a Sentence

You can read, trace and them stamp the sight word on the page. You can then write a sentence with the sight word. If they are not to writing sentences you can always write the sight word a few times!

Preprimer Sight Word Paths Or Sight Word Mazes

These are fun sight word mazes for kids to follow the sight word through the word maze. It is fun to see them find all the way through the maze.
