How we made the Spring Tree Wreath Craft
You will see all the steps below that we used to make our spring tree wreaths.
Watercolor Paint the Paper Plate
You start by painting the paper plate blue. You can use a dark blue or light blue if you want. You want to make sure you paper plate is a paper and not covered with any wax.
Another option to watercolor painting is to use dot markers.
After you paint the wreath you want to let it dry just a little bit.
Paint the Limbs of the Tree
You work on painting the limbs of the tree. You use brown watercolor for the limbs. You want big limbs and you use two of them to wrap around the wreath.
If you want to paint sooner than the wreath is dry you can use brown paint and a cotton swab to paint the limbs.
Paint the Branches of the Tree
Then you paint branches on the limbs. You want these to be smaller in size, but if kids want to paint them big they can do this as well.
Cotton Swab the Leaves of the Tree
You can use several cotton swabs at a time for the tree. You can use two or three of the Q-tips for the leaves. For younger kids, you might want to tape the cotton swabs together.
Or you can do one leaf at a time by using a single cotton swab. This might be better for older kids who want to put the leaves in certain spots.
