Spinning Subtraction: Ways to Subtract 1 to 10
We have been working on subtraction this summer. One fun way we did it was a fun new Spinning Subtraction Printable. These sheets will help you learn and review the ways to subtract from one to ten. This makes a review of the numbers very fun!
There are 10 pages of printables in this Spinning Subtraction Printables. Each pages reviews the way to subtract from one number. So you can print off the pages that you need to review or learn. You can see an exmaple of what the pages look like here. There is a number line to help with your subtraction on the page.
To make these printables work you need a pencil and paper clip. I use colored paper clips every now and then to make it fun. You put the paper clip with on end in the center of the circle. Put the pencil at the center of the circle and use your finger to spin the paper clip making sure to hold the pencil.
Then write in the number after you finish the spin. You can do the math after each spin or do it as you go.
One way to use these for someone who is just learning to subtraction is to put them in sheet protectors and use a dry erase marker and use them over and over.
What are in these printables:

I love how children get to participate in building the number sentences!
And they love that they have a part in it. It is not just me handing them a sheet to complete. Plus after they get done they know their subtraction facts so much better!
This is such a neat way to make math fun!
Yes it is! We have really enjoyed these sheets this summer! I love that you learn while having fun.
These are great, Cassie! I know I’ll be using these with my daughter. I’m also pinning and will schedule to share on Facebook next week.
I wanted the review of Subtraction to be fun this summer! This made a huge difference for us.
This looks like a great way to get kids more involved with math!
