Snowman, Snowflake & Mitten Dot the Number Count the Number

I love seasonal changes. There are always so many great themes to use and learn about.

Today I have some fun winter-themed printables with numbers and dot markers. And these are some of our favorite types of printables!

You are going to find snowman, snowflake, and mitten themes for the dot the number count the number!

This printable is a great addition to the winter printables on the site.

Each of the pages is very simple. I don’t always like to have loads of items on the page. They have a dot marker number and matching dots on the picture.

Here is an example of the black and white set. It has a name place and is great for use in a math center.

The color version has the same as above but in color. Each page has a color item for you the count with. I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating these if you are going to use them a lot.

How to Use these Dot the Number & Count the Number Printables

The most basic way to use these is with the dot marker. You can just dot the number and then counting and dot the dots. You can always mix up the dot marker and use different colors.

You can use any hands-on item you have. We love to collect mini erasers. Any time I see those erasers in various places I grab them. So we happened to have snowflake ones on hand. They work great on any of the winter pages.

I love to mix things up every now and then. You can always turn these pages into playdough mats as well. You can have them make tiny playdough balls that they place on each circle. You can see how I put the page in a sheet protector and the playdough balls you can squish on the circles.

Another way to use these pages is with a circle punch. You give them construction paper that they punch out circles and then glue them on the paper.

I also love glass gems. They fit so perfectly on the circles and you can see through them. It is a great fine motor tool to use. You could also use clear counters.

Don’t forget you can always use the dot marker on the color pages if you are only using them one time. It is fun to see the dot filled in on the page.
