How we made the Shark Cookie Cutter Painting
You will see all the steps we used to make the shark cookie cutter painting below.
Paint on a paper plate
we put paint on a paper plate. We use the cookie cutter to spread the paint around to fit the size of the cookie cutter.
Stamp the Shark Cookie Cutter on the Paper
You can start by stamping the shark cookie cutters on the page. You can see how simple it is to place the cookie cutter on the paper.
We use watercolor paper because it holds up better than plain paper. You could also use cardstock.
After you make one shark painting, you can see how it looks when you lift the cookie cutter off the paper and stamp it again to make more on your shark painting.
Repeat with More Cookie Cutters
You can repeat with more cookie cutters on the paper. We had two shark cookie cutters and use them for the painting. You can see how it is fun to add more of each one.
You can stamp as many or as few as you want. And this is not a perfect set of cookie cutter paintings. there is no wrong way to paint with stamping cookie cutters.
You can overlap them or just keep it simple. Do what you want and be creative.
Tips for using Metal Cookie Cutters
If you don’t plan on using the cookie cutters for anything other than painting, you can use hodgepodge to seal the cookie cutter to help prevent it from rusting. It is super simple to do. We had done it on several of our favorite cookie cutters we use for painting.
