Reading Challenge Week 2: Bug Books!
This week was fun bug books! There were lots of fun and different books we read.
I can’t believe another week has gone by for this month! It is going by so fast! How did your reading go? For us it went great. I got in more reading than I had expected. We read lots of fun books!
Don’t forget to grab a reading chart from Royal Baloo and 3 Dinosaurs!
For the books we read on the weekend check out The Butterfly Place & Butterfly Books.
The rest of the week we have been reading Bug books! There are so many to choose from!
I Love Bugs! shows you many different types of bugs. You see them all over the page as you explore the world of bugs.
I Love Bugs! shows you all the different bugs types there are. She loves them all. It is a fun read and repeats a lot of words so easy for younger readers to read as well.
Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! is a great book. I love the colors as you explore from page to page. I also like the end of the book. It has actual size of the bugs on the page and a chart to you can use to ask some questions.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a favorite at our house. You can do so much with it! There is always an activity you can come up with. It has counting and days of the week! This is a classic in my opinion and every should read it!
The Very Lonely Firefly is a book about searching for where he belongs. It is a great book. I love how the fireflies light up at the end.
The Very Quiet Cricket is great for learning about how a cricket grows up. It could not do things and watch other bugs doing things and could not answer. This shows that it takes time to grow up and develop.
The Grouchy Ladybug is so much fun to read. I love the different times it gives you as you progress through the book. It is also fun to look at the size difference on each page. For younger kids you could ask which is bigger as you turn the page.
Please comment below or link up! Tell me what books you read! I look forward to see what everyone has done!
