Nuts to You – Gray Squirrel
We read Nuts to You! by Lois Ehlert. Mary loved the great story about the squirrel and the girl. We had fun exploring the many different pictures in the book.
What you need: squirrel cut out, tray, q-tip, white paint, black paint, paint brush, and paint holder.
Mary mixed the black and white paint today. We watched as the color changed.
Mary painted her squirrel.
We worked on Mary holding the paper as she painted.
Mary had fun getting the paint on her hand.
After she painted the squirrel, she put an eye on it using a q-tip.
The finished product.
Don’t forget about the Virtual Book Club For Kids link up on Monday September 17th! To see more fun Lois Ehlert books and activities.

I love the color mixing. We featured Nuts to You! too. Thanks for sharing
My 2 year old had a lot of fun with it!
For some reason, gray always seems to be a hard color to master. I bet she won’t forget it now, though! What a great activity. We also featured Nuts to You. Love that book.
Mary loved it! It was so much fun for her!
My kids LOVE to color mix and are a tad bit infatuated with squirrels!
It was fun for Mary to do something different with painting.
We haven’t read this one yet. Cute squirrels.
Ohh this looks brilliant that is a book we have to read – thank you for linking to Tuesday Tots this week and just to let you know that I will be featuring it this week on Rainy Day Mum
