Fun Books to Read November 2019 Book Finds
I love doing picture books with my girls even when they are older. It is a great chance for us to practice reading aloud skills.
Plus there are so many stories that you can learn about in the books. You have historical, fiction, non-fiction and more! These are all great areas to explore.
You can use the pictures book to find out what longer books they might be interested in.
We get our book finds from the library, bookstores, and the places we travel. Each month is a mix of books for different places.
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
As always I have linked the books to Amazon where you can see more about the books.
Teddy: The Remarkable Tale of a President, a Cartoonist, a Toymaker and a Bear is an almost true story of the teddy bear. I love the blend of history and information. There are more details in the back of the book about the true story.
Hey Wall is a book about a community that came together to decorate a wall. I love that you get to read about a real place and what people did to make something better. There is more information in the back of the book as well.
You Are Never Alone is a book that shows us how much we are apart of the nature around us. I love the short sentences and pictures that explore this idea.
I have an Idea is another interactive book by Herve Tullet. We love these books. They are so much fun to read and explore. And to do them over and over.
When Sue Found Sue: Sue Hendrickson Discovers Her T. Rex is a great book for dinosaur loves! We have long loved the story about Sue and how she was found. It is always fun to read about history.
Explorers is about a trip to a museum and two families coming together. This book is mostly a wordless book and we love those. I love how the story progressing and you learn more about the families.
Dancing Hands: How Teresa Carreño Played the Piano for President Lincoln is another fun book about history. Teresa had to flee her home in Venezuela and came to the United States. She kept up her playing as she went and became know that she could play anything. She was invited to play at the White House for President Lincoln. It is a great story with fun details about the time.
