Model Magic Butterflies
We have been loving studying butterflies at our house. It has been so much fun to learn about the and do several projects to go with all our learning.
This model magic butterfly project is loads and fun and easy to do. We love model magic at our house. It is easy to use and dries fast.
I always try and give them a book with each project. For this art project we read From Caterpillar to Butterfly (Lifecycles). It is always fun to learn about butterflies. There are so many interesting facts about butterflies.
What you need for this activity: butterfly cookie cutter and model magic.
They each picked out what butterfly cookie cutter and base color they wanted use. The girls squished the model magic flat on the table. Then they pushed in the cookiee cutter. They then pulled away the extra around the outside edge.
Then they decorated their butterflies how they wanted to. Each of them had their own ideas of what should be on their butterflies. We talked about how it had to be the same on both sides. This was great for some fine motor skills with pinching the model magic.
Here is a look at our final project. We all had fun making the butterflies.
