May Poppins Book Nook: Folktales
Folktales are a this months Poppins Book Nook Theme. I really like how many different Folktales there are.
Folktales are also hard to distinguish from fairy tales. It is a story passed down and often has a moral to the story. There is often no fairies or magic in them. It is also an oral story that is handed down and will be something to help us deal with the world around us. There are many different types of folktales since there are so many over the world. I do know that two of my favorite folktales are The Mitten and The Little Red Hen (Little Golden Book).

If you’re interested in joining this month’s Poppin Nook Book club, here’s what you need to do…
- Comment below and let us know that you are joining in!
- Pick your favorite Folktales book (or a new one you want to check out) and read it with your child or class.
- Create an activity, project, craft, cooking project, etc. related to the book and do it.
- Come back and share it with us as part of a big Folktales blog hop on Monday, May 26th! The linky will be live for 3 weeks, so if you aren’t ready to post on the 26th… just join in when you can!
