Fun May 2018 Book Finds

Finds books is always like finding a little treasure. I’m always amazed at how many new books are always coming out. This month we had loads of fun with some of the books we got. You can always find a great book to read even if it is just a picture book.

Each month my girls and I pick out the favorite pictures books we read. My girls are not in 6th grade, 4th grade, and 2nd grade but we still enjoy picture books.

We always keep track of the books we like most to tell you about.

The Secrets of Ninja School was a great story about a girl who was not great at being a ninja. But she was told that she just had to work to find her skill. It was fun to see her progress through the story. Plus there is a craft you can make at the end of the book!

Away is about a busy mom and son who leave post it notes about going away to summer camp. I love the notes and the watercolor pictures. This is an amazing book to read and feel the love between them.

The One Day House is a story about neighbors helping out. Wilson and Gigi and neighbors but one day Wilson will fix her house. I love the story as it unfolds and how everyone comes together to help.

Windows was a book we loved to look through. All of the window scenes are at night and look amazing. I love how pretty they are. It talks about different windows and and types. It is very fun to look through the book. The preview has several pictures from the book you can see.

Girl Running is about the first girl who ran the Boston Marathon! I love this book because it shows that girls can do things and that they just have to work at it. There are amazin people that have made the way for others to follow in their footsteps.

Great Big Things is a book about a mouse who did great big things. I love the pictures his travel and that his big jouney did not mean anything when doing something for someone the mouse cares about.

Rulers of the Playground is about two kids who wanted to rule the playground and how they have their own ways and did not get along. And soon no one wanted to follow their rules. I love how the story plays out and is fun to see their different ways and plans.
