March Poppins Book Nook: Weather – Plus a New Year Schedule
We are in a new year and a new set of Poppins Book Nook themes! We start out with our first theme of weather! I’m so excited about this one. There are so many great books to explore with weather! You can get a lot of different books by season as well.
One fun weather related project that we did was The Falling Raindrop. It was a fun book and project.
This winter we read a lot of books about blizzards since we had two of them. We really liked the book Blizzard. It is book about the 1978 blizzard that hit the New England area.
There are so many books to explore and weather covers so many different times. I know that the book by Gail Gibbons called Weather Forecasting and Weather Words and What They Mean are great to help kids understand the weather.
There are so many fun weather books to check out! I’m not sure what book we will pick this time. I’m excited about the theme! Do you have a favorite weather book?
