Making Fingerprint Daisies
I love flowers! They are always one of my favorite parts of looking forward to spring! I love the different flowers you see on the trees as they bloom.
And of my favorite flowers are daisies! They come in so many fun colors. But I love the white ones.
This is a great spring activity you can do if your flowers are not blooming yet!
I love having simple and easy activities to do. I know at times we want a simple to set up and do.
That is what this finger painting activity is all about. Simple and easy is what you get with this painting activity.
This would make a fun mother’s day painting activity as well. I love how flowers can be used for so much.
What you need for this fingerprint activity:
- blue construction paper
- Paint holder (We used a paper plate)
- white paint
- yellow paint
- form brush optional
- paper towel (a place to wipe fingers if needed)
How to make the fingerprint daisies
We started by making fingerprints of white paint around the paper. This was to give us a starting place to make the daisies. Plus this is a great time to see how many you want to make on the paper.
The next step we did was to make the petals of the flowers. We made swipes with our fingers to make the petals. We use the dot on the page as the help to make the flower.
After we were done adding petals to the flowers. We looked at them and decided if we wanted to add more to the painting or not. And we did end up adding more to out flowers. This is a step you may or may not take.
The last step we did was fingerprint yellow for the center of the flower. We each did it our own way and that makes this fun. No one flower was the same.
Here is a look at our final Fingerprint Daisies
