Learning Fun With the Magic Tree House Books & Activities
Several years ago I was apart of several book clubs that you could do with kids and we loved them. A lot of them were preschool and tot based and my girls outgrew them. It was a sad time for them and me.
But we progressed into chapter book reading and I love reading chapter books with my girls. You never know what will find that you like in the stories.

Each of my girls has read through the Magic Tree House series. When my oldest was just starting out we bought the Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 1-28
My youngest is still making her way through the books. And it is fun to read them with her. So this book club comes at the right time for us.
How does this Magic Tree House Book Club Work?
Well, every two weeks a Magic Tree House activity will be coming out for a book. It is a nice of different activities you can do with kids.

Dinosaurs Before Dark has the main book you can read about their first time travel to dinosaurs. Plus you have a Dinosaurs Before Dark Graphic Novel and a Dinosaurs: A Nonfiction Companion. You can learn about several dinosaurs while reading the book.
Spelling Dinosaurs Names With Dinosaurs
Spelling Dinosaurs Names With Dinosaurs Before Dark activity is a fun spelling activity you can check out. It has several dinosaur names for kids to work on. Plus here is a dinosaur themed chapter bookmarks they can use as well.

Book 2: Knight at Dawn
Knight at Dawn is the main book and they go to a castle and see knights kings and inside a castle. There is also a Knight at Dawn Graphing Novel and Knights and Castles: A Nonfiction Companion

Castle Themed Sorting Noun & Verbs with Knight at Dawn. are a great way to work on nouns and verbs from the book is a fun sorting activity. You have hands-on sorting and a writing activity they can do.

Book 3: Mummies in the Morning
Mummies in the Morning is a great book about going to Egypt and seeing mummies and other adventures. You also have a Mummies and Pyramids: A Nonfiction Companion and Mummies in the Morning Graphic Novel.
Mummy Sorting Nouns
Mummy Sorting Nouns: Person, Place, or Thing with Mummies In the Morning. This is another fun noun activity but this time working person, place, or thing. You have the hands-on sorting and the writing activity for using some of the nouns. All the nouns can be found somewhere in the books.

Pirate Treasure Division Sorting Task Cards
Every now and then we need a different way to learn a math skill. The Pirate Treasure Division Sorting Task Cards With Pirate Past Noon has a fun hands-on division activity to teach or review for kids how to make groups out of a bigger number. It works on division with 2 sets of task cards, sorting mat, gems and recording sheet.

Book 5: Night of the Ninjas
Night of the Ninjas has jack and Annie learning how to be ninjas. You also have a Ninjas and Samurai: A Nonfiction Companion and Night of the Ninjas Graphic Novel you can also read.
Ninja Gross Motor
You can have so much fun being a ninja with this activity. We did a fun Ninja Gross Motor with Ninja at Night. A lot of the movements that come from the book. Plus you can always come up with new ninja movements to do.

Book 6: Afternoon on the Amazon
Afternoon on the Amazon has them learning about different Amazon rain forest animals. You also have an Afternoon on the Amazon Graphic Novel and a Rain Forests Research Guide you can use with the book.
Amazon Rain Forest Theme Gross Motor
Gross motor happens to be one of our favorite activities to do. We loved our animal gross motor dice and thought it would be fun to have a set of gross motor activities for the rainforest! The Amazon Rain Forest Theme Gross Motor With Afternoon in the Amazon has six fun movements.

Book 7: Sunset of the Sabertooth
Sunset of the Sabertooth has Jack and Annie going back to the Ice Age! Learn about cave paintings, and other things from the past.

Book 8: Midnight on the Moon
Midnight on the Moon is a great look at going to the moon. You learn a lot of moon facts in the book.
Model of the Phase of the Moon
We have a fun activity to work on phases of the moon in a fun 3D model for kids to make and see how it looks. The Model of the Phase of the Moon with Midnight at the Moon shows the moon going around the Earth.

We had a great time learning more about ocean animals. We used Ocean Animals Information Writing to write what we knew about each of the animals.

Book 10: Ghost Town at Sundown
Ghost Town at Sundown is a great wild west book for kids. You can have fun reading as they go and explore an old ghost town. You can also use the Wild West: A Nonfiction Companion with this activity.

Book 13: Vacation Under The Volcano
Vacation Under The Volcano is about Pompeii and the volcano. Jack and Annie are in a race to save a book. Plus this is great history book as well.
