What is a geometric Shape?
is a figure or closed area by a boundary. It is treating by seeing several different parts together like curves, points, and lines.
We all know some common geometric shapes like a circle, square, and triangle.
I wanted to do something fun to work on some geometric shapes and work on learning words to describe the shapes as well.
These board games works of the following shapes: rhombus, square, trapezoid, triangle, hexagon, pentagon, and octagon.
You have one board that is just the 8 shapes and their names.
The second board has shapes and shape words with shape attributes around the outside for kids to find the matching shape.

Ways to Use the Geometric Shapes Board Game Printable
One of the first things I can say is that because these are in black and white you can use colored paper with them! I love mixing up the colors for the different seasons!
When you play the game you start a start. You use a 6-sided die to roll to move around the board. If you don’t have a die you can find a number die here.
As you roll and move to a new spot you then cover a matching shape on the board. Then you roll and move on. We use glass gems or clear counters a lot to do the covering. That makes the boards reuseable.
If you are doing a single time use then you can use a dot marker on the board. They can dot the shapes as they go.
This set also includes information about the shapes like corners, how many sides and angles. You have two options one with a cover and another with color the shape that matches.
The color the shape is fun. Each shape has a different color and there are clues to match the correct shape. You move around and color the shapes you land on.
You can also use the same with but without the coloring. This is great to print on a color page and just cover the shapes.
