Horse Themed Array Cards with Matching Worksheets
I sometimes think you can’t have enough variety in the things you use for kids to learn with. I know that learning about arrays is just one step to multiplication.
I’ve done several mini sets like this to help. Why have I done it? Because kids love different types of themes! I know that my girls do.
Today I have a horse-themed array set with matching worksheets for one little girl who loves horses.
Today’s printable is a part of Farm Week.
A lot of time we want something quick and easy math center. We don’t want to have to fuss with tons of changes and not a lot of work put it together.
These cards and matching worksheets are great for that. You make the cards once and use them as often as you need. Plus you have three different worksheets to use with them.
There are 12 horse themed array task cards. They have numbers 1 to 12 on them to match up to the worksheets. We laminated ours and put them on a ring to help them last longer. I love that the ring helps keep them all together.
The first worksheet has you write an equation two ways. You look at the task cards and write the equations like 4×6=24 and 6×4=24. This works well for those that already know about arrays or just need a quick review.
The second worksheet has you write in rows and columns. This shows you that you can get the same answer with either. But shows how it arrays work.
The third sheet works on making different groups. You can see this by the columns and rows. But only ask one type of groups.
What you will find in these printables:
- 12 horse themed array cards with numbers 1 to 12 on them
- 3 worksheets that ask for information based on the arrays
- 7 pages of printables
Be sure to check out all 5 days of the Farm Week
