Hogs Playing in Yarn Mud – Karma Wilson
This month we read one of my favorite books Hogwash! (Wilson, Karma). This is a story about spring and a farmer cleaning up his farm. The hogs don’t want to be washed. We love to follow the story through and see what happens.
What you need: brown paper cut in strips, brown yarn, green & blue construction paper, pigs from Farm Tot Pack Book and Farmer, glue stick and glue.
She colored some of the pigs from the Farm Tot Pack. I just printed out one sheet that had 4 on them.
She glued the hogs on a paper. She counted the hogs as she put them on.
She put glue on the paper and then put the brown yarn around the hogs.
She then put up a fence to keep the farmer out. She wanted to leave gaps so the farmer could see what fun the hogs were having.
The final product.

The art projects turned out so cute! I don’t think we have ever read the storybook ‘Hog Wash’ so I have just requested it from the library 🙂 Thank you for linking up and sharing this week on the Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop!
