What are Even and Odd Numbers?
An even number is a number that can be divided by 2. These are numbers like 4, 6, 8.
An odd number is a number that can’t be divided by 2. These are numbers like 3, 5, 7.
Another way to say this is that you can make equal pairs of numbers it is even. If you can’t make pairs for every number it is odd.
Even and Odd Sorting Raindrops
The raindrop even and odd printable is a great way to work on learning about pairs for even and odd.
The set has sixteen raindrop cards. These are cards you can count and group in pairs for finding the even and odd numbers. This gives you eight cards for even and eight cards for odd.
You have a sorting mat for the raindrop. You can see the even and odd sides for kids to sort the raindrops.
You have an even and odd recording worksheet. This helps with math centers so kids can use the cards and record the raindrops.

Ways to Use the Even and Odd Sorting Raindrops Printable
You can use this even and odd raindrop printable in several different ways. I’m going to show you
Put the Raindrops Number Order
If working on even and odd numbers are very new that this is a great way to count and see the numbers. You can put all 16 raindrop cards in a row.
Sorting the numbers this way lets you see some of the pairs and those without pairs.
Sorting Even and Odd Raindrops
After you have sorted or skip that set you can move on to sorting the raindrops. This is a great way to do it. It is great to count and then sort the cards.
It is a fun way to make even and odd numbers hands-on.
If they have having a hard time you can also grab the even and odd help mat. It is great for helping with knowing which is even and which is odd.
Recording Even and Odd Nubmers
After you have sorted the cards you can take the cards and record them on the sheet. It has space for all sixteen cards. It also lets you see some of the patterns for even and odd numbers.
Recording Even and Odd Numbers with Cards on Ring
You can turn this into a math center by putting the cards on a ring. Then it makes a great math center activity.
