Our Favorite Halloween Books!
Every year we love to pull out the Halloween books and read them. We are always adding new books each year. There are a few new books we added this year. It is fun to be able to read them. There are always so many fun Halloween books to read!
I wanted to highlight a few older books we love and a few new ones we have found recently. They are so much fun to read during the Halloween season.

Here are our favorite Halloween books. I hope that you enjoy them! We love reading these books each year. And kids just love it.
Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins
Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins is a Pete the Cat twist on the classic Five Little Pumpkins. We love Pete the Cat books at our house. We are always looking for more of them to read.
Room on the Broom
Room on the Broom is a must read for us. I love the way the story develops over time. It makes for a fun read. Plus you can check out our activity that we did last year with this book here.
The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything
The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything is a fun book about what it takes to build a scarecrow and not to be afraid of what you see and hear. I love all the clothes items in the book. Plus this book has some parts in the Halloween Pack.
Big Pumpkin
Big Pumpkin is a great book about working together to make and do something. We really have fun when we read this book.
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat! is a great book. We love the Old Lady series at our house. This book also matches up with the Halloween Pack. You can read the book over and over and have fun with it.
Five Little Pumpkins
Five Little Pumpkins (Harper Growing Tree) is one book we have had at our house forever! We read it every year over and over. Yes it is board book but we have not got rid of it because we love to read it.
Click, Clack, Boo!: A Tricky Treat
Click, Clack, Boo!: A Tricky Treat is a great read. Who does not love the animals on the farm! We really have enjoyed these books! I love how this book adds the “ing” to the words. You get rhyming and learning about grammar as well!
The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin
The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin is a book we read each year and remember that not everyone is the same. Who says pumpkins have to be one shape.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a classic at our house. We love this book. I think it was always fun waiting to see the great pumpkin. We did some finger print pumpkins for an activity when we read this book.
