Groundhog Dot the Number & Count the Number
I love having different seasonal printables to work on learning activities. And this groundhog dot the number and count the number is a great way to work on learning numbers and counting at the same time.
Plus there is no writing involved just loads of fine motor fun for kids.
Everyone has loved these for the different seasons. They are easy to use and work great with color and black and white options. Plus great for a groundhog day theme!
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
The dot the number and count the nubmer is a great addition to the groundhog day printables on the site.
Why use dot marker printables to work on numbers
One reason that I love using this for numbers is that you see the number and work on fine motor skills to do the number. Then you can count the dots on the groundhog as you cover or color them. You work on both learning the number digit and counting for that number. Each of the groundhog printables pages progresses through the numbers to help with learning the number and counting up to that number.
You are going to find black and white version. It has the same as the color but black and white to save money on printer ink.
The color version has the groundhog in color. It also does not have a space for the name. We use these more for centers and the black and white for one-time use.

There are several ways to use them but I thought I would show you a few ways of how we have used these.
You can always just use the dot marker on the black and white groundhog. It is a simple way to see how they are doing on their fine motor work.
You can use any small items on the color version. You can see we used glass gems that we had on hand. They are great for working on fine motor work while learning the number and counting the matching number.
