Free Fun Hands-On Hanukkah Counting Mats: 1 to 8
Hanukkah is a fun 8 nights! I like that you count up each night and have fun with it. I thought we would have some fun with Hanukah counting mats for the 8 nights.
It is a fun way each night to work on numbers. You can pull out the mat for the night and learn the count that is safe and fun for preschool and kindergarten.
The Hanukkah Counting Mats printable is a great addition to the Hanukkah printables on the site.
Counting Mats
The counting mats are perfect for kids working on their numbers 1 to 8. They are straightforward and easy to set up and make a great math center for preschool and kindergarten. Each one has a ten frame which is a great way for kids to work on the start of math.
Hanukkah Counting Book
A fun book to read with these mats is Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins. It is a favorite of ours and has each of the eight nights.
Hanukkah Counting Mat Prinables
Each of the Hanukkah counting mats has the number written out, a number for playdough, ten frames, and menorah for the background. You can see how I set up each of the mats. I used playdough, candles and dreidels.
I often laminate the pages if we are going to use them often. But if I’m out of laminating sheets or only using one time, I’ll use a sheet protector on the pages. I might also used the sheet protectors to store them in a 1 inch binder. I just put all the pages in the sheet protectors back to back.
You can see how we placed the dreidels in the ten frames and the candles on the mat. We used the playdough to build the number.
What you will find in the Free Hanukkah Counting Mats Pintables:
