Woodland Pack Tot, Preschool, PreK & Kindergarten
I love that the theme of woodlands or forest is a great one for many different seasons. There are so many animals to learn about with this theme. Plus it has bears and owls which are a favorite at our house.
The free Woodland Printable Pack has a few activities that can work for a few different ages. It works for tot, preschool, prek, and kindergarten. It is makes learning fun with themes.
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
I made the Woodland or Forest Pack to go with these two books I Want My Hat Back and Little Owl’s Night. I picked them because there were some of our favorite woodland books. I love meeting all the animals in day and night.

Ways to use the Woodland Themed Packs
I’m going to highlight a few of the pages from the pack and how to use them. Each page or printable does not have to use this way. You can always use them for what is best for the child you are working with.
Woodland Which one is Different
One of my favorite pages is what is different! It is fun to watch as kids look at the page. You can circle the one that is different or if they can’t do that. You can use a clear glass gem to cover the image. I love the clear glass gems because you can still see the animal. Plus this is great for kids that might not have great motor control and need extra fine motor work. It also allows you to reuse the page.
Wooland Visual Mazes with Woodland Animals
I love visual mazes. They are loads of fun to make and do. Kids can have a fun time doing them. Each of the woodland animals has a made you can follow them through. I use the clear glass gems again on it. This way we can reuse the page. Plus it is fun to place the gem on the animal. This is a great preschool forest worksheet.
Forest Animals Addition
There are several pages of simple addition activities you can do with kids. These pages work on adding different forest animals and totaling them. You can write the numbers of each animal below them. This is a great kindergarten forest worksheet.
Size Sequencing Squirrel
Sequencing activities are always fun. You can work on which squirrel is the biggest to smallest or do smallest to biggest. I print them on white cardstock to help them last longer. This is a great preschool forest printable.
Woodland & Forest Animals Puzzles
There are two types of puzzles in the woodland pack. You can use the one that works best for you. There is a 4 piece puzzle and a 10 pieces puzzle. Each works on different skills. They are simple puzzles for different ages. These work great for kids that like hands-on activities.
You can see the 4 piece puzzle and how fun they are. I printed our on cardstock to help them last longer. If you plan on using them over and over laminating them might work best.
Woodland Number Clip Cards from 0 to 10
You can have fun working on numbers 0 to 10 with the number clip cards. Each card has several forest animals for kids to count and clip. These are great for fine motor with the clothespins and counting. You can print the cards on white cardstock to help them last longer.
There are a few pages from the Woodland Tot Pack I also wanted to highlight.
Woodland Prewritng Pages
Both packs have prewriting pages but the tot pack has the forest animals and the same line to trace. You can use these for tracing, but you can also use them for hands-on practice as well. You can line up items on the lines. We use clear glass gems for this. You can see the line through the gems. But you can also find mini erasers for it.
Color the Bear Small Book
There is a cute bear book that kids can color. Each page has a bear and a different color for them to color the bear.
2 Piece Woodland Animal Puzzles
Kids can work on 2 forest animal 2 piece puzzles. These are great because some are vertical puzzles and some are horizontal puzzles. two different ways to work on them. You can print these on white cardstock to help them last longer.
9 Piece Woodland Animal Puzzles
There is also a 9 piece puzzle in the set. It has all the woodland animals in the pack. It is a great way to see all the animals together. I recommend printing on white cardstock to help the pieces of the puzzle last longer.
