Free Weather Pack for Tot, Preschool, Prek, and Kindergarten

Weather is a great theme to study all year. We have used it a lot in the spring, when the weather changes from snow and cold to warmer weather and rain.

This weather pack has preschool weather worksheets for kids. Plus, you have a few that work for Tot, PreK, and Kindergarten age kids. And this has free weather printables.

You will learn different weather words in the free printable pack, and you can learn the words in print and cursive.

Printable Weather Pack

The weather pack printables were made to be used with kids ages 2 to 9. You will find tot (ages 2 to 3), preschool (ages 3 to 4), PreK (ages 4 to 5), and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6)

There is some older copy work for those working on cursive. Also some of the writing words for kids in first grade, second grade and third grade.

Weather Books to Read with the Pack

We plan on using the following books with this pack.

Weather Words and What They Mean by Gail Gibbons is a book that explains all the weather words that we use and what they mean. Kids will have fun learning about each of the Weather Words.

Weather Forecasting by Gail Gibbons is another great book that helps kids learn about how we tell the weather and what we learn about the weather by doing this.

You could use a printable weather wheel with this weather pack. Also this is another free printable weather activity pack goes great with this free weather pack.

Information About The Printables In The Weather Pack

You will see information about each of the types of pages in the weather pack.

Weather Vocab Cards

You have nine weather vocab cards. And these are basic weather words that you can use with kids.

The words are cloud, rain, icicle, lightning, rainbow, snow, sun, tornado and wind.

Weather Words 3 Part Cards

You have weather 3 part cards to go with the weather vocab cards. These are great for working on matching the picture and the correct word together. Kids can draw a vocab card and then match the word and picture from the 3 part cards. A great visual matching and word matching.

Which One Is Different Worksheet

The which one is different worksheet has 5 rows of images and in each row there are five images. And one of the images is different from the others. Kids can circle or mark in some what which image is different.

What Comes Next Worksheet

The what comes next worksheets is a cut and paste the pattern worksheet. You have a mix of ABB, AB, and AAB patterns on the worksheet. Kids cut on the images below and cut and paste them to finish what comes next in the pattern.

Weather Prewriting Practice Worksheet

Each weather prewriting practice worksheet has four different lines for kids to trace. These are thin dashed lines. Each line is a different type of line to trace. You have two different prewriting worksheets in the weather pack.

Weather Pattern Cards

The weather pattern cards are to help kids make AB and ABC patterns with a sun, lightning and a rainbow. You can print one or two copies of the page and use the cards to make hands on pattern activities.

Weather Matching Cards

The weather matching cards has 12 matching cards with different weather themes. You can print these on cardstock and play a matching game with kids. You can also ask them the name of the weather for the matches they make.

4 Piece Weather Puzzles

You have 12 different four piece puzzles for different types of weather. Each of the puzzles has only four pieces. Some of the weathers are vertical puzzles and some are horizontal puzzle.

10 Piece Puzzles (1-10, 11-20)

You have two horizontal puzzles. Yo have a rainbow puzzles that has numbers from 1 to 10 and a cloud that has numbers from 11 to 20. Both work great for working counting in single numbers. You can use these in number centers with kids.

Weather Skip Counting by 3 10 Piece Puzzle

You have a simple skip counting puzzles that has skip counting by 3. The puzzle skip counting 10 times. So you skip counting from 3 to 30 on puzzle. Kids can build the puzzle and skip counting by 3. This puzzle can be used for kids in first, second and third grade.

Color Umbrella by Size Worksheet

This is a great spring or rain weather worksheet. You have three sizes of umbrellas for kids to color. There is a size chart on the top left hand side. It has large, medium and small for the size words. You color the umbrellas based on those color.

Letter R letter Find Worksheet

You have a letter R letter find worksheet with Rr for the letters and a picture of a cloud raining. You can use a dot marker or just color the letter R or r on the circles. it is a great way to work on recognizing letters.

Trace the R (Print & Cursive)

You have two letter R handwriting pages. You have a print handwriting letter R page and a cursive letter R handwriting page.

Each of the pages shows an example of how to write the letters, a picture of a cloud raining and the word rain under the cloud.

You have a row of uppercase letter R, a row of lowercase letter r and a row of uppercase and lowercase letter Rr together.

Label Beginning sound (Print & Cursive)

You have a worksheet with six weather pictures. lightning, cloud rainbow, sun, tornado and wind. Kids can cut and paste the correct letter that matches the beginning sound of the picture.

You can do this for print letters or cursive letters. It is a great way to work on different types of letters with kids.

Weather Count & Graph Worksheets

You have two weather count and graph worksheets. You have one where you count the pictures above and then color the graph for that many pictures. You could and graph all the pictures.

The second count and Graph worksheet has kids trace numbers from 1 to 5 for each number you count for the picture. You can could 5 rainbows. So you should trace 1 to 5 on the graph.

Both worksheets have different amounts for each picture.

Dot the ABCs on the Tornado

You have a dot the letters om the Tornado. You can use dot markers to the letters of the alphabet in order on the tornado.

You could also use circle stickers and write the letters on the stickers and then have kids peal off the stick and match it to the same letter on the tornado. You could also use lacing letters.

Weather Read, Trace & Write Sentences Worksheets in Print & Cursive

You have three sentences about the weather. You can read the sentence, then trace the sentence and finally write the sentence.

You have print and cursive options for this worksheet with the same sentences.

Weather Beginning Sounds Clip Cards

You have a page that is beginning sound clip cards or a worksheet. You can cut out the individual cards for clip cards or you can keep it together for a worksheet. Either way you mark the beginning sound of the weather pictured on the card.

Weather Vocab Wall Cards Print

You have the same vocab that was in the vocab cards but in size for displaying on a wall. Or you could use them in a pocket chart. They have 9 vocab words with the matching picture.

Weather Vocab Wall Cards Cursive

You have the same weather pocket chart cards as above but they are in cursive for older kids learning cursive.

Weather Beginning Sounds Tracing Print

You have beginning sound tracing strips for each of the weather words. You can trace the beginning sounds of each of the pictures. You can print these on cardstock and laminate them. These are in a print font.

Weather Beginning Sounds Tracing Cursive

The Weather beginning sound tracing cards are like the print but in cursive. A fun way to work on tracing letters in cursive.

Weather Trace the Word Print

You have the weather word on the tracing strips in a print font for kids to trace the weather words. There work great in weather writing centers for kids.

Weather Trace the Word Cursive

You have the weather works in cursive for kids to trace. You can trace each of the words and see how the cursive letters make the words or connect the words.

Weather Write the Weather Word

You have weather writing strips. These are weather pictures with guidelines for kids to write on the weather words. You can do print or cursive and you can use the pocket chart card to help kids know what to write.

Lightning Sorting By Size Hands-on Printable

You have a hands-on size sorting activity for kids. You can cut out the lighting and have kids sort to the correct size on the sorting mat. It is a great way for kids to see the differences in the sizes of the lightning.

Write a Sentence about the Picture

You have 9 writing worksheets for weather words. You have a pictures and the space to write about the piece.

The words you have are cloud, rain, icicle, lightning, rainbow, snow, sun, tornado, and wind.

You have a hands-on addition mat with adding the raindrop. You have an addition problem at the bottom for kids to fill out and then you have space to make the addition problem above with raindrops.

You have a hands-on mat for subtraction with raindrops. Yo have the subtraction equation at the bottom for kids to fill out and then space to use the raindrop to make the subtraction problem.

The greater than/less than raindrop math compare two numbers with kids. You can use the raindrop to make the numbers.

Hands-on Raindrop Counting Mat

You have raindrop counting mat that is great for counting one number at a time. This is a great way to build up to addition later. But you have space for the raindrops for counting with a space to write a number.

Weather Solid Line Prewriting

You have a weather themed prewriting page with cloud and sun theme. You start on the right side and trace the thick prewriting line to the sun on the right side. These are great beginner prewriting lines. They have three lines on each page and are thick to help kids who are just starting to work on prewriting. You have six pages of the solid prewriting lines.

Weather Dashed Line Prewriting

The weather dashed lines are similar to the solid prewriting lines, but with a small dished lines. They have the same three lines on the each page so kids can get used to tracing a certain type of line without worrying about the next line on the page beginning different. You have six pages of the dashed prewriting lines.

Which One is Different Worksheet

You have three rows of images and each row has three images. One of the images in each row is different and easy for kids to see it is different. You have kids mark which picture is different. You have two of these worksheets in the tot weather pack.

2 Piece Weather Puzzles

You have 12 two piece puzzles. Each of the puzzles is a weather themed item for kids to match both sides of the picture. It is easy for kids to use in a simple learning center.

Color the Sun Small Book

The color the sun book is a simple book that work on colors. Each page of the book has the sun a different color. There are 11 color words in the book. Kids will have fun coloring the sun a different color.

Weather Matching Cards

You have 12 weather matching cards. There are matching cards in the main pack as well and both are the same. You print these weather cards on cardstock and then but them out and match them.
You can also leave one set together and have kids match the weather items that are the same in a weather center.

Weather 9 Piece Puzzles

You have a sun nine piece puzzle that kids can build. You can print this page twice and have kids use one puzzle as a template to build the the sun. But you could also just build the sun in any way they want.

Weather Matching Page Worksheet

You have weather matching worksheets. Each worksheet has four images on each side of the worksheet. You draw a line from the left side to the right side of the page to match the picture that is the same. These are some of the same images from the weather matching cards. You have three of these matching worksheets.

Trace the Shapes

Yo have two trace the shape worksheets. You have trace the thick line shapes with 9 shapes in the page and weather themes in the center of each shape. And you have thin lines with the same shapes as the other. You can trace the shapes lines that you need for you kids.

Dot the Letter S For Sun

You have a dot marker uppercase letters S. It has a sun below and the word sun in a handwriting font for kids to trace. An easy letter worksheet for kids.

Dot the Letter L for Lightning
