What is Skip Counting by 4?
Skip counting is working on adding the same number over and over. You have a pattern of adding or counting.
So if you skip counting by 4s, you have a pattern like, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20. 24 and so forth. These patterns can be repeated for many numbers.
Most often you skip count at least 12 times but you can skip counting more.

Building the Skip Counting by 4 Puzzle
You can start with the smallest number and start building the puzzle. You can see we started with four and started working up each number.
You can see a completed puzzle below. You have all the numbers from 4 to 40. After you finish making each of the puzzle you can work on repeating the skip counting on the puzzle.
You can skip count forward and backwards. Kids can point to the numbers and then say the numbers as they go up the numbers.
Mix Up the Puzzle Skip Counting Center Idea
Another fun activity is that you can put a puzzle mixed up on the puzzle mat. Kids can pull off the puzzle and the build the puzzle in the correct order.
