Ways to Use the Pumpkin Prewriting Printable
You will see some suggestions below on different ways to use the pumpkin prewriting worksheets. And these are only a few suggestions and not all of them.
Prewriting with a Pencil and Pencil Grip
You can set them up the first time by using the thick lines and give them a pencil with a pencil grip. This helps them hold the pencil better. And they can then trace the lines away.
If the pencil length is to long think about cutting the pencil smaller and trying again.
Reusing the Pumpkin Prewriting Worksheets
These pumpkin prewriting printable are great to reuse. You can use dry erase markers and put the prewriting page in a sheet protector. If you use them a lot you could laminate the page.
You can see below changes for the thick and thin prewriting lines.
Reusing the Pumpkin Thick Prewriting Lines
If you are using the thicker lines, you may want to use a big dry erase markers. This makes it easier for kids that don’t have the control over the smaller dry erase markers.
Then trace all the lines on the pages and wipe off and do it again.
Reusing the Pumpkin Thin Prewriting Lines
If you are doing the thin lines you could use the bigger marker but you might be working on doing small fine motor skills and the smaller dry erase markers work better.
Pumpkin Prewriting with Watercolors
Every now and then you have someone who needs extra fine motor activities but prewriting might not be a challenge.
Then try this. Give them watercolors and let them watercolor paint the lines! Great fine motor work and it is a challenge as well.
Using Playdough to Line the Lines
You can use playdough and make snakes to line all the prewriting lines. This works best on the thick solid line but you can do it with any of the pages. You put the page in a sheet protector and use the playdough on each of the lines.
Fine motor for the making of the snakes and matching the lines.
Using Small Pumpkin to Line the Lines
If you want another hands-on way to use the pumpkin prewriting lines, then use pumpkins to line the lines. You can get several types of acrylic pumpkins on Amazon and then use them to line each of the lines.
You can see below how simple it is.
