What is Measuring?
Measuring is a type of math that you can start at different ages but mostly starts in late PreK and Kindergarten. You use different objects to measure the length or height of an object.

You can see the measurement recording sheet here. It has space for all 6 scarecrows you will measure. Plus, you can write the number and color the blocks to match the measurement.

You can see some of the scarecrow cards to measure here. They have an arrow to help with the measuring. I recommend printing these on cardstock to help them last longer.

Ways to Use the Measure the Scarerow Printable
You are going to see a few different ways to use the measuring the scarecrow printable.
Preparing the printables
If you plan on using these printables a lot then it is best to print on cardstock and laminate the scarecrow measuring cards. This will help them hold up better.
Measure the Scarecrow
You pull out the scarecrow that you are measuring. You have numbers 1 to 6 on the cards to help know what part should be measured.
You place the unfix cubes on the side with the arrow. The arrow will help you know where to measure.
If you don’t have unifix cubes there is a measuring printable in the set. It is about the same size as the unfix cubes. Or you can measure using the crows for a different way of measuring.
Record the How Tall the Scarecrow Is
After you have the measurement of the height of the scarecrows, you then record it on the worksheet. You color in the blocks on the side to match and then write how many blocks there area.
All six scarecrows have numbers to make it easy to see where they should record for each scarecrow.
