I have always loved having different types of digraph learning to read cards for kids to learn with. You never know what cards or ideas will work best for the child.
These free digraph matching cards printables are great for those that know about digraphs but need a fun review. They provide a fun way to work on beginning digraph and some ending digraphs.
You have a fun set of cards for kids to work on matching pictures and matching digraph words. This is about learning the digraph in the picture and matching a word with the same digraph.

What is a digraph?
A digraph is two letters together that make one sound. Digraphs can be made up of vowels or consonants.
Examples of consonant digraphs would be ch-, -ch, -ck, gh, kn-, ph, qu-, sh-, -sh, th-, -th, wh-, and wr-.
Digraph Matching Cards Printable
This fun set of digraph matching cards are matching a picture of the digraph and a word with the digraph. You can use the cards in many different ways.

Ways to Use the Digraph Matching Cards Printable
I’m going to show you a few ways to use the Digraph matching cards.
Review the Digraph Words
If this is the first time they have seen these cards, it might be a great idea to review the digraph cards. You can say the word on the digraph word card and have them say what the digraphs on the picture is.
Then you can ask what digraph they are. You can have them point out the digraph in the word card.
Digraphs Matching Game
You can make a fun matching game with the digraph cards. You can put the digraph picture cards on one side and the digraph word cards on the other side. This allows kids to see the different types of words and pictures.
You could do beginning digraphs only or ending digraphs only for the matching.
Another fun way would be to use the same digraph but make it ending digraphs and beginning digraphs.
Do a matching activity for what you are teaching.
You can see one of the matches here. It is a simple way to match and then have them say the words and the point out the digraph in the word.
Match Digraphs on Table Top Pocket Chart
You can also use a pocket chart with the cards. You can put the digraph picture card in the pocket chart and have kids match the digraph word.
You can mix it up just like the options above.
Matching Digraph Cards on Rings
You can put the digraph matching card pintables on rings. This is great for a digraph learning center. You put the digraph picture cards on one ring and the digraph word cards on a ring.
Then they flip through the cards to find the matching digraph.
After matching the digraph cards, they could write the two digraph words on paper. You can get some easy to use writing paper on the site. You can also find seasonal writing paper as well.
Underline the Digraph on the Cards
Another activity you can do with just the digraph word cards is having kids flip through the cards and underline the digraph in the word. It is another way to work on digraph words with the same set of cards.
