What is a CVCC Word?

CVCC words are words that have a consonant vowel and two consonants. The two consonants at the end are consonant blends. That is two letters that make their own sounds but are together.

These are going to be words like back, jump, duck, neck, sing.

Use the CVCC Wall Cards on a Tri Fold Board

We have our cards up on the tri fold board for the set we are working on. These get changed up as we progress through the CVCC word family words.

Make CVCC Small Books

You can use the wall cards to make a book.

First, you print the wall cards out on copy paper instead of cardstock. Then you fold the paper so that the wall cards are on the outside and the white side is on the inside of the fold.

You staple the folded pages on the side. You can see how the fold is on the right and the staples are on the left.

You can see how you can open the book and flip through the different wall cards.

Put CVCc Wall Cards on Rings

You can print the CVCC Wall Cards on cardstock and laminate them. Then you gut them out and use a three hold put to make the holes on the side. Then put the cards on rings.

The CVCC Cards makes a great book to use at a learning center.
