You can see a simple way that we set up the great than and less than math center. You give them the same number of clothespins that match the clip cards.
Cliping the Cards
You use clothespins for the clipping of the cards. You can have them tell you why they clipped that symbol for the cards.
Using Clear Counters on the Cards
You could also use something like clear counters to cover the number and then talk about why they picked that symbol and that makes it easy to see the symbol. THis is a great idea for kids that have a hard time using the clothespins.
Use Unifix Cubes to Compare the Numbers
