Free Apple Pattern Printable

Patterns are one of the first math activities kids can work on and not even know they are doing math!

Pattern math is working on building a pattern using many different objects. And we take this fun math activity and use apples for the pattern activity. It is great because you have red apples, green apples, and yellow apples for the patterns. And this is perfect the fall.

Today I have a fun set of free apple pattern printables!

You have a mix of no-prep and hands-on activities that kids can do with apples in red, green, and yellow.

What is a pattern?

A pattern is something that happens or appears in a regular and repeated way.

An example might be you have two red dots and one blue dot. Then the pattern repeats red, red, blue, red, red, blue etc. That is an AAB pattern.

Apple Pattern Printables

This fun apple pattern set has four different parts. You have the apple pattern strips, apple pattern cards, apple pattern worksheets and apple pattern girds.

Each of these work to give you a hands-on pattern and no-prep pattern activity to use this fall.

Apple Pattern Strips Printables

The Apple Pattern Strips have a set of apples with a pattern at the start and a space to complete the pattern. You have AB pattern and ABC patterns for kids to use. There are four pattern cards for each pattern type.

AB & ABC Apple Pattern Card Printables

You have apple AB and aBC pattern cards to use with the no-prep apple pattern worksheets. This lets you pick a pattern car and then complete the worksheet with the pattern. Or you can use these with the apple grid pattern.

Apple Pattern Worksheets Printables

You have two apple pattern worksheets. They come in AB patterns and ABC patterns. So you have two apple pattern worksheets to use with kids. You can use the level you want, and the apple pattern cards work great.

Apple Pattern Grid Printables

You have a set of apples without a pattern for kids to make their own pattern or for you to give them a pattern and they make the pattern on the grid. This can be used as a hands-on pattern activity or as a coloring pattern activity.

Ways to Use the Apple Pattern Printable

You are going to see a few ways to use these printables. Just remember these are flexible and can be used to meet your needs.

Using the Apple Pattern Strips

Here is a simple way to set up the pattern strips. You can see the three colors of apples and a pile of strips. You can give them several pattern strips or just one.

The set includes apples if you don’t have the acrylic pieces.

You can see that the apple pattern has been finished on the strip. You can just them in the colors they need to the pattern and then have them work on just one at a time.

Using the Apple Pattern Worksheet

You pick on of the two worksheets and then a pattern card that matches the worksheet. We used the AB pattern worksheet and one of the AB apple pattern cards.

You can see the full sheet filled out using dot marker.

Using the Apple Pattern Grid

You can see the apple grid below. You can use one pattern card or several patterns cards.

They can fill all the apples with the pattern or use a different card for each line!

You can have them do the simple AB or ABC pattern on the apple patterns.
