Flowers And Bean Sensory Bin
Hands on sensory bin with Flower, mixture of beans and cups, provides lots of fun with pretend flower planting.
In the spring one of our favorite books is Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. I love watching the flowers grow and learning about them. We read this book and played with a this fun Flower and Bean Sensory Bin. It is always fun to see what Mary will do. I never know what will happen.
What you need: Safari Ltd Flowers TOOB, cups and mix of different beans.
Warning these beans are not for children or tots who people them in the mouth.
Mary started by looking at the different flowers. She filled the cups with beans and did some pretend planting of the flowers.
One of the best parts of sensory bins is that they are open play. You can spend all the time you want play with the different ways. Mary asked if I would bury the flowers so she could dig them out.
Mary then planted all the flowers in the cups that had stems. She lined them up and then put all the cups of flowers in the bin.
Later her sister got involved in the play and they were sorting the different kinds of beans in the bin.
