Fall Gross Motor Dice & Fall Gross Motor Set

I think gross motor activities are one of my favorites to do! We have been doing several fall gross motor activities. And I thought we needed a fun set that I could just pull out and do.

So that is what I did. We have a new free gross motor dice set for Fall. Plus a full Fall Gross Motor Set with loads of options for you to check out as well.

This is a fun way to get moving after school or a needed break during school.

One thing I love about these gross motor dice sets is that you can be flexible in how you use them. You can use them as a dice or cards that you pull out. There is no wrong way to use them.

The set has fall themes are acorns, leaves, apples, and pumpkin.

There are two sites of dice in the printables. We use the cube dice because they allow us to throw the dice around and they don’t hurt much when they fall or hit something. Plus the cards last a lot longer in the dice and we can switch them out and mix up the dice. And there is a set of dice you can fold and make.

The Fall Gross Motor Movements

Picking Acorns: You bend at the waist and pick up acorns off the ground.

Jumping in Leaves: You jump up in the air and land in the leaves. We love jumping activities.

Falling Leave: You fall gracefully to the ground like a leaf falling from a tree.

Picking Apples: You reach up high and pick apples from the tree.

Rake the Leaves: You pretend to have a rake and rake all the leaves up. We try and rake on both sides of the body.

Roll like a Pumpkin: You curl up in a ball and roll back and forth.

After you are sure of the movements you can change up the dice a bit. You can add speed and how many times they do the movement. You can get the number dice here. PS the Fall Gross Motor Set has matching fall-themed numbers dice you can get.

One of our favorite parts about the cube dice is that they can throw them around! I love to watch them throw the dice. They really have a blast taking turns doing it.

Fall Gross Motor Set

I got an email in that said. I love your gross motor dice ideas but do you have anything like that but without dice. And I thought hey I could make a few variations on this to meet the needs of others.

You get all the fun above plus other options.

The first new addition is that there is a new number dice that matches the theme for the set. It has numbers 1 to 12. So you can pick which dice fit best for your needs. You might not want to do 12 of one motion and just limit it to 6 or less. There is also a square option for the cube dice. This makes for easier cutting.

We have started something new and it is a gross motor card set. This set of cards is great. There are 8 cards in the set. Each has a different number of movements for each of the actions. This makes it easy once they know the movements to just pull out the cards and do that many of each movement. I like to store the cards on a ring.

Another fun activity is the roll a dice and do the movement. There are two types of this page. The first page just has 6 movements.

The second one has two movements for each option on the die. There are two sheets for the printable. You can mix it up how you use it. This makes for an easy gross motor center.

The final part of this new set is a spinner gross motor activity. Kids can make spinners with pencils and paperclip or use spinners like in the picture. This way you have your movement and number all in one place.
