Exploring Flower with Dot Marker Pages
Mary and I read the book Exploring Flowers (First Step Nonfiction: Let’s Look at Plants). It was all about flower and what they do. It an easy read. After we read the book we looked at the dot marker page and explored the parts of the flowers we had learned.
What you need: Flower Dot marker from the Spring Dot marker, Alphabet Stamp Set, and 6 Color Stamp Pad.
I said the part and Mary pointed to the different parts of the flower.
After pointing to them we used the beginning sound of each item and stamped the letter where it went. L for leaf, S for Stem, F for Flower and P for pollen was added in as well.
This was simple and easy way to reinforce the parts of the flower that we learned about.

Oh I love how do have incorporating stamps as the “dot markers”, what a clever idea 🙂 She did a great job too 🙂
I do stamps all the time. I used stamps before I had dot markers. I never try to use things straight forward all the time. 🙂
Very cute idea!!
Thanks! It is fun to do different ideas. I always like to see what ways I can teach them to learn about everything. This just happened to work out very nicely for what I wanted to do.
