How we made the Dragon Watercolor Painting
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Dragon watercolor painting.
Place the Dragon Cookie Cutter on the Watercolor Paper
You place the dragon cookie cutter on the watercolor paper. It won’t matter where you place it cookie cutter.
Hold the Dragon Cookie Cutter and Paint Inside
You want to hold the dragon cookie on the top or the sides to keep it in place. While you then use the watercolors to paint inside the cookie cutter.
We often fice holding on the top and some of the side workes best.
Look the the Dragon on the Paper
After you finish painting your first dragon you can lift up the cookie cutter and see the dragon that they painted.
Every dragon will look different with the different amount of watercolor paint you use and how well you get into each of the corners of the cookie cutter.
If you are doing this with older kids they can do touch ups on the dragons.
Keep Painting Dragon
After you have one dragon painted keep going and add more dragons to the watercolor paper. You can mix it up if you want and do lots of different colors.
Of you can do just one color. It does not matter which you do, but lots of colors are fun.
And remember that you can overlap dragons or keep them part. And you can fill the whole page with dragons.
If you are doing this with older kids you can let the dragons dry and then use fine line markers to add eyes and mouth to the dragons.
