What is a CVCC Word
A CVCC word is a word that has a consonant vowel consonant consonant letter pattern. CVCC words often have a consonant blend at the end of the word.
In this CVCC I Spy printable you will find two sets of CVCC word families endings -ll and -ck. You have -all, -ell, -ill, -ull, -ack, -eck, -ock, and -uck.
There are two types of pages. The first CVCC I Spy printable has a word list for kids to find. Each of them has the same consonant consonant ending with different vowels. the CVCC I Spy has some CCVCC words in the mix.
The second CVCC I Spy printable has color by the consonant consonant ending. So you can color all the ends on the page.

Ways to Use the CVCC I Spy -LL & -CK Word Families Printable
I love to show you a few ways to use the CVCC Word Family I Spy pages. There is never just one way to use them.
Read and Color CVCC Words
I always have the kids start with reading all the words in the list. This helps them review the words or learn the words. And these all have similar words.
Then you can read the word and find the matching word in the collection of images. There are more pictures than words. You can use crayons
Using Dot Markers on the CVCC I Spy Printable
You don’t have to stick to just coloring with crayons and colored pencils. You can use dot markers which I just love. They are simple and easy to dot the images that match the CVCC words.
Coloring the I Spy by CVCC Ending
Since there are two pages in the set you can search for words that would match a CVCC ending. Each CVCC ending has a color for them to color the page.
Reusing the CVCC I Spy Word Family
I love to be able to reuse a printable. I will often put them in sheet protectors
