How we made the Crayon Watercolor Painting
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Crayon watercolor painting.
Place the Crayon Cookie Cutter on the Watercolor Paper
You are going to start by placing the cookie cutter on the watercolor paper. You can place it anywhere. There is no wrong way to place the cookie cutter. You want to hold it on the top or on the sides. The top works better, but younger kids might need to hold the sides.
Hold the Crayon Cookie Cutter and Paint Inside
While holding the cookie cutter, you pick a color to paint inside the cookie cutter and then start painting. You want to hold the cookie cutter as still as you can while you paint.
You want to make sure to get all the edges of the crayon cookie cutter.
Look the the Crayon on the Paper
After you have finished painting you pick up the cookie cutter from the paper. You can look at your crayon.
Now thinks to think about. This is their painting and they can do whatever colors they want. And the crayons don’t have the be prefect.
Keep Painting Crayon
Then keep painting more crayons. Just remember they can pick the colors. If they paint just one color of crayons that is okay. If they paint three on the page. That is okay.
This is just a simple way to add a fun painting for back to school.
