Chapter Books We Are Exploring Summer 2015
We have hit a new season and it is time for more Chapter Books are reading! We have had tons of fun looking and finding new books.
Humor seems to be a big hit at our house. We love reading those style of books. This set has animals, humor, dinosaurs, fairy tales, and detective stories.
The Adventures of Arnie the Doughnut
Instead of eating the doughnut Mr. Bing adopts him as his pet dog. This is one that is your kids like humor in their reading will love it. This book has a comic book style fun to it. It is fun to read even the second time. See just what happens in this silly story. Plus there are more coming out.

Mercy Watson
I love these books as some fun beginning chapter books. Lots of fun colors on the pages and big text. I also like that the chapters are short. These books are fun to read and entertaining to read about the families pig named Mercy Wilson. Each of the book is really well done and the images match perfectly to what you are reading. Humor is also apart of these books.

Dino-Mike
This is a fun series to read. The son of a paleontologist goes digging for dinosaurs with his dad. One day he is on the trail of what he thinks is a live T-Rex. Follow the fun of the series. There are pictures on every few pages and large text. It is a fun series to read.

Nate the Great
This is an older series but is still great for chapter books and those just starting into reading. You have simple and easy sentences on each page with pictures. This is great for those just starting out with chapters. Plus you get to be a detective as well!

Princess Pink and the Land of Fake-Believe
If you want a twist on fairy tales these are for you! They have lots of humor and can get kids laughing. After we read the books we talked about the difference between the book and the fairy tales they know that are similar. I like how interactive they can be. The fun colors and comic book style of reading made it loads of fun as well!

Greetings From Somewhere
Books about change and travel for kids. These are fun books about mysteries they solve along their travels with their parents. I like how simple and easy the books are. These are great books for those just starting out again. I like how they deal with the changes in their lives and how they grow through the books.
