Ways to use the Calendar Pages
The Calendar month tracing pages are great for kids working on tracing skills. You can put the pages in a sheet protector and trace the month, day of the week and today’s calendar number.
It is a great way to work on learning numbers, days of the week and the months. I like to keep the current month in a binder they can use over and over. There are two calendars for February for the 28 days and the 29 days.
The calendar pages have two sets of pocket chart cards. You have days of the week and months of the year. These can be used in a writing center or a pocket chart. Each of the kids has a sign that matches the writing. You can see some of the month cards below.
You will also find a set of tracing and writing cards. These are the same size as the pocket chart cards and are fun for kids working on tracing the months and days of the week. I like to laminate these and put them on a ring so you can use them over and over. You can see how easy it is to use them. You can put all of them together
Now as kids get only you work on different types of activities. And we did a daily calendar for forever and loved them. There are three different but similar calendar pages in the set. Each of these allows your kids to grow and change their needs.
I kept these in our daily binder. You can put them in a sheet protector and use dry erase markers on them over and over.
The first page is a great progression from the page up top in that you have written, finding numbers but in different ways. You can circle or color the month, day of the week and then find the numbers. Simple and easy to do.
Another page lets you circle the information for the day, write the number in tens and ones. Then make circles to match the number of the day. A fun way to work on the calendar each day.
After they have progressed past the other daily calendar pages you can use this one. It has more information on the pages with a math problem, weather, and tens and ones.
You can use these calendar learning printables with this free Printable Calendar for home or school. Make a calendar that kids can use with the calendar worksheets.
