Birds – Birds on a Wire
We read Birds for this months Virtual Book Club for Kids. This book also is one I used with my Bird Pack.
What you need: paper towel roll, foam bird stickers, glue, paints, tray, paper, and marker.
Draw a line down the paper towel roll.
The put the stickers on the paper towel roll on the black line. If the birds were not staying we used a glue stick to help them stay.
The stickers on the rolls.
The girls drew a line where the birds were going to go.
We put paint in the tray.
They dipped their birds in the paint and put it on the paper on the line.
The final product.

That is such a cute idea to use stickers to make a paint roller!
What a great idea! My son’s favorite page of that book is the page with the birds on the wire and then the next page when they aren’t there anymore! We definitely should try this.
How fun! I never though to use a paper towel roll as a paint roller!
Oh they had fun and so did I. I was worried others might have done it already.
Love your bird on a wire activity! How clever to make a roller with stickers! Too fun!

Thanks the girls loved it and I think we will be doing other activities like that.
Love the paint roller idea! We have been reading Birds too so we will absolutely be trying this one! Very cool. 🙂
What a fun thing to do, roll with paint! This book was one of my girls favorites! Thanks for joining the Kevin Henkes Virtual Book Club.
Oh, this looks like such a cute and easy craft! Can’t wait to try it with my daughter!
