August Virtual Book Club: Aliki

Once again we are at a new author for the Virtual Book Club for kids! This is always fun to pick out books we might like to read. This months author is Aliki. At first I thought I did not have any book or have read her books. While traveling this summer I realized that I had read several of her books! She has great books that cover a wide ranges of themes!

One of her books we did last year was the Mummies Made in Egypt (Reading Rainbow Books). We made mummies and had tons of fun doing it! She has so many books you can pick tons of themes. It is going to be one of those times where the girls have a hard time picking just one of her books. I’m really looking forward to this month!

If you’re interested in joining this month’s book club, here’s what you need to do…

  • Comment below and let us know that you are joining in!
  • Pick your favorite book by Aliki (or a new one you want to check out) and read it with your child or class.
  • Create an activity, project, craft, cooking project, etc. related to the book and do it.
  • Come back and share it with us as part of a big Aliki blog hop on Monday, August 11th! The linky will be live for 3 weeks, so if you aren’t ready to post on the 11th… just join in when you can!

Here is the author list! A lot of these authors I have read but maybe just one book by them. We always learn so much by reading lots of different books.
